    Helo, shw mae! Dosbarth Blodeuwedd (year 5) are responsible for the Dreigiau committee this year. Here, you can find resources to learn some Welsh, our plan for the year and monthly challenges to complete at home. Remember, after completing six challenges (two months' worth), your child will be able to choose a book from the vending machine!

    Dydd Miwsig Cymru / Welsh Language Music Day.

     

    Diwrnod gwych yn dathlu Dydd Miwsig Cymru gyda dau ymwelydd arbennig iawn!

    Mae Dydd Miwsig Cymru, neu Ddydd Miwsig Cymru, yn ddathliad bywiog o dreftadaeth gerddorol gyfoethog ac amrywiol Cymru. Mae’r diwrnod arbennig hwn wedi’i neilltuo i arddangos a hyrwyddo cerddoriaeth sy’n cael ei chanu yn yr iaith Gymraeg, gan amlygu dawn a chreadigrwydd cerddorion a chyfansoddwyr caneuon Cymru.

    Ar Ddydd Miwisg Cymru, daw pobl ledled Cymru a thu hwnt at ei gilydd i fwynhau a gwerthfawrogi cerddoriaeth Gymraeg yn ei holl ffurfiau. Mae’n ddiwrnod pan mae gorsafoedd radio, gwasanaethau ffrydio, a lleoliadau byw yn canolbwyntio ar chwarae caneuon Cymraeg, gan greu awyrgylch llawen a Nadoligaidd.


    Nod y dathliad yw codi ymwybyddiaeth o’r Gymraeg ac annog ei defnydd trwy gyfrwng cerddoriaeth bwerus. Mae hefyd yn darparu llwyfan i artistiaid newydd rannu eu gwaith a chysylltu â chynulleidfaoedd newydd. Boed yn alawon gwerin traddodiadol, caneuon pop cyfoes, neu synau arbrofol, mae gan gerddoriaeth Gymraeg swyn unigryw sy’n atseinio gyda’r gwrandawyr.


    Nid cerddoriaeth yn unig yw Dydd Miwisg Cymru; mae'n ymwneud â meithrin ymdeimlad o falchder a chysylltiad â diwylliant a threftadaeth Cymru. Mae'n ein hatgoffa o bwysigrwydd cadw a dathlu ein traddodiadau ieithyddol ac artistig.

    Felly, p’un a ydych chi’n ffan gydol oes o gerddoriaeth Gymraeg neu’n ei darganfod am y tro cyntaf, mae Dydd Miwisg Cymru yn gyfle perffaith i ymgolli yn seiniau hyfryd Cymru a dathlu ysbryd ein cenedl.

    Siarter Iaith/Language Charter

    Mae Ysgol Penalltau wedi cyrraedd y wobr Siarter Iaith ôl-aur. Cynllun strategol Llywodraeth Cymru yw’r Siarter Iaith i ysbrydoli plant a phobl ifanc i ddefnyddio'r Gymraeg mewn pob agwedd ar eu bywydau. Ond nid yw'n unig i fyfyrwyr, gyda phob aelod o'r gymuned ysgol yn cael rhan i'w chwarae; y cyngor ysgol, y dysgwyr, y gweithlu, rhieni, gofalwyr, llywyddion a'r gymuned ehangach.

    Mae Ysgol Penalltau wedi gwneud y Gymraeg yn rhan hanfodol o bob agwedd ar fywyd yr ysgol ac ar gyfer pob aelod o'r staff. Mae'r ysgol wedi sefydlu cysylltiadau cryf gyda'r gymuned leol, busnesau lleol a'r ysgolion y clwstwr. Mae wedi dod ag ysgolion eraill ynghyd i ddangos perfformiadau eisteddfod a rhannu eu talentau.

    Yn Ysgol Penalltau, mae'r Siarter Iaith wedi ei gyrru gan Rebecca Poole, Lowri Owen y ‘Dreigiau’ a'r staff. Mae cyrraedd y wobr ôl-aur yn cydnabod yr effaith wirioneddol, y gwaith caled a'r ymroddiad yr ysgol, rhieni a'r gymuned i hyrwyddo'r Gymraeg. Rydyn ni mor falch ein bod wedi cael y wobr ôl-aur ac yn diolch i bawb y tu mewn ac y tu allan i'r ysgol am y rhan maen nhw wedi'i chwarae. Mae datblygiad y Gymraeg yn Ysgol Penalltau yn strategaeth ysgol gyfan ac mae'n rhaid dathlu'r angerdd a'r ymroddiad gan yr holl staff, ac wrth gwrs y ‘Dreigiau’.

    Ysgol Penalltau has achieved the post-gold Siarter Iaith (language charter) award which has just been presented to the school. It is a Welsh Government initiative to inspire children and young people to use Welsh in all aspects of their lives. But it is not just for pupils with all members of the school community having a part to play; the school council, learners, workforce, parents, carers, governors and the wider community.

    Ysgol Penalltau has made the Welsh language an integral part of every aspect of school life and for every member of staff. The school has made strong links with the local community, local businesses and the primary cluster schools. It has brought cluster schools together to showcase school eisteddfod performances and share their talents.

    At Ysgol Penalltau the Siarter Iaith has been driven by Rebecca Poole, Lowri Owen the ‘Dreigiau’ and the staff. Achieving the post-gold award recognises the real impact, hard work and the dedication of the whole school, parents and the community to promote the Welsh language. We are incredibly proud to have been awarded the post-gold award and thank everyone inside and outside the school for the part they have played. The development of the Welsh language in Ysgol Penalltau is a whole school strategy and the passion and dedication of all the staff and of course the ‘Dreigiau’ must be celebrated.
